Pastoral Ministry
Studies in pastoral ministry prepare students for work in local congregations. A Quaker understanding of the Christian faith offers unique contributions to this form of ministry, particularly around areas of spiritual formation and ecclesiology. Students receive holistic training that attends to their intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and relational growth as they develop the skill sets necessary for effective ministry in churches and meetings. Courses in this area include: Pastoral Spirituality; Work of the Pastor, the Friends Pastor; the Pastor and Religious Education; Introduction to Preaching; the Church's Mission in the World Community; and Church Administration.
