Unprogrammed Friends Ministry
Ministry needs and ministry opportunities abound in unprogrammed settings. These are identified and explored in the Unprogrammed Friends Ministry emphasis. In addition to the core curriculum, Comprehensive Seminar, and electives of their own choosing, students do their Supervised Ministry in a setting that provides experience in ministry among unprogrammed Friends. This ministry emphasis requires that students take four courses from among the following: Ministry Among Unprogrammed Friends; Quaker Beliefs; Quaker Spirituality; a course in Quaker History; and Introduction to Pastoral Care. In addition, this ministry emphasis encourages students to take Adult Christian Religious Education, Human Sexuality in Ministry, and Aspects of Writing as Christian Ministry.
