In this lecture I show the challenge to the classical paradigm in a leading humanist, Cornelius Agrippa von Nettesheim, several Baptist women preachers, and especially the Quaker movement in the 17th century. Here men and women are seen as equal in the original order of creation, and domination of some over others is sinful. Women are called into full equality in society.
