Writing as Ministry
ESR's ministry of writing emphasis is one facet of its Master of Divinity
program that sets the school apart from its peers. While many seminaries
offer courses in preaching and oral communication, few provide opportunities
to develop the practice of writing as ministry.

Quakers have historically been known as "publishers of truth." With that reputation, perhaps it should be no surprise that a ministry of writing program developed at ESR. The written word is a powerful medium for ministry.
