Phil is a recorded Friends minister and serves as pastor of Greenfield Friends Meeting. He is the author of The Same, But Different: Ministry and the Quaker Pastor (Friends United Press, 2019). His memoir of growing up in 1950s-60s Brooklyn is available in episode form at //www.philbaisley.com/talesofacanarsieboy. He joined the ESR faculty in 1999 and retired in 2025.
